The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island

We had a spectacular day today!  The weather cooperated and it turned out to be a beautiful day.  We took the ferry over to the Island and spent all day.  Had a good carriage tour of the island with a Fort Tour.  Got to see them fire the cannon over the harbor.  The lunch at the Grand Hotel was a real treat.  All of us had free time to sit on the porch or go down and shop in the fun shops in town.  Of course, a trip to the island would not be complete without a stop in a fudge shop!  The islanders call us “Fudgies!”
